I am really debating about whether or not to post my Nano. If I do, it'll probably be on my website rather than LJ - no way in hell is this thing publishable, so it isn't like it's going to do it any harm :D Maybe I'll wait until it's done. Maybe I will chicken out of posting it. I don't know yet :D

I believe the answer to that is, "I rock." :D :D :D I wrote another 1000 words after midnight yesterday and 2000 at college today, so I'm 3000 words ahead at the moment! Wooo!! Hopefully I'll get another 1000 done tonight and maybe 500 or so after midnight as well. I did go with my megascary ohmygodit'sgoingtokill me plot idea.

I love it when a plan comes together :D Yes, I uploaded the icon just to use it for this line, I am that lame
My main villain is just making himself known, 27,000 words in. I think that this might end up being longer than I expected, but I really, really like the story. I like all the characters, I especially love my plot and I am, in all, very happy with all of it but the writing and that was never going to be great anyway.
I've also just had a plot idea that, should I follow it, would make the story much better, I think, but also much much longer *wibbles* Decisions, decisions.

Half-way there :D
I'm a bit behind, actually. I aimed to get to 25,000 yesterday but didn't quite make it. Hopefully, I'll be able to make up for that over the next three hours!
Week two has been and gone. I spent the whole time expecting to be hit by the wall and a massive attack of writers' block but it never happened. Booya!! *is so lame*
I still don't think I'll win but it's getting more and more likely every day I'm on target.

Heh. College should give me more frees. Another 1087 down, making my new total word count 14,462. If I get to 16,000 tonight, then I've done the equivalent of 2,000 a day.
I'm starting to worry about my plot. I think I'm more than half-way through what I had planned and I'm only about a third of the way through the word-count, and I don't know if I can carry on what I've got for 35,000 words. I might have to do some replotting later on, and go back through what I've got and slow that down a little.
This second week is apparently the week in which the most people give up, so we'll see how well it goes from hereon in. I'm getting the hang of the characters and I've a few tricks up my sleeve that I am really looking forward to writing :D

I'm a quarter of the way there. It seems pretty unbelievable, because this time last week, I was seriously doubting whether or not I'd make it past 7,000 words. I had so much trouble writing earlier - I'd done literally 300 words in twelve hours, but then I sort of blitzed it from 11.15 to midnight and finished on 12k, so I'm not too disappointed!
Here's to week 2!
ETA. 2 hours later, 13,375. That's my target for tomorrow hit already.

*dances* I want to get at least another 1000 words done today, which shouldn't be too difficult. I've done five chapters so far, all of which seem horribly short, but never mind! Lots of short chapters make me feel more accomplished ... or something.
In order to celebrate twenty per cent of my goal achieved, I am going to post, not an extract, but a Microsoft Word auto-summary.

In here, I am planning to at least keep a diary of the Nano process, and to post some extracts that don't suck too badly.
My working title is Bad Moon Rising, hence the awful, awful pun involved.
So, er. I suppose I should get writing.
Right now,the thing that is amazing me the most is the fact that I'm actually on target, and have been everyday. The number of words that I actually write tends to vary but I've not ended a day behind yet. Five days in, and I'm feeling confident. Hopefully, I'll be at 9k by midnight, and I want to get to 11k tomorrow, leaving only 1.5k to do on Sunday.
